    Students feedback
Thank you very much for all the effort you put into the workshop - yes it was a success. You teach very well, because you demonstrate the movements clearly, you are supportive of everyone and the music you played was awesome! (Charlotte, student who attended a workshop in Lane Cove)
Have been meaning to tell you how much I enjoyed your last workshop, and how I am finding it useful in becoming more spontaneous in using belly dance movements to any music that has a good rhythm (Sue Delaney, student who attends my workshops in Lane Cove).

    Generic program
During a beginners course you will get familiar with the basic technique of bellydance. We will emphasize on the acquisition of body consciousness and the performance of breathing patterns to assimilate all the basic steps. We will also work on simple combinations and get to put them into an achievable yet creative choreography with which you can surprise anyone!

After the first term students will learn how to apply all what they have learnt in order to achieve a natural and enjoyable dance. Since the first year we will introduce you to the joy of improvising and feeling the music!

    Class attire

    • A top, you can show your belly or cover it, the most important point is that it is not too loose.
    • Trousers -tight if possible- to keep your knees visible; this is very important for your learning process.
    • Shoes are optional; you may prefer to dance barefoot or wearing ballet shoes or even trainers. You can choose whichever makes you feel more comfortable.
    • Hip scarf is recommended specially for beginners, since there is important focus on the hips area. Having something tied around them will help you focus your mind on this part of the body as well as understanding better the movements they are doing.
